Ok before I get starting, I just want to say that I don't want to offend anyone with this. I'm posting this to get some other opinions about the matter. I'd like to hear what you think.
Well, so I was browsing YouTube for some trailers of the coming Resident Evil 5. I've only played RE4, but I loved it so much. Anyway, and now as I'm browsing the different videos, I suddenly find a lot of video contents with the word racism. And I just think... wtf? And as I watch one of these videos, and then read all the comments, I realize that people are making a huge fuss about RE5 being a game of pure racism, since the game character is in a village in Africa and is shooting black people. Now, as most of all know the Resident Evil series are games based on killing zombies that are affected by a deadly virus. In the previous games all the zombies have been white, and in the forth game there were Spanish zombies. And now, in the coming 5th game, there are black zombies. And now all of a sudden, people start screaming that this is racism.
I wonder, if people are equal no matter their skin tones, shouldn't it be just as wrong to shoot at white people, Asian people, Hispanics, or black people? Hell, I'm white, but if I'm playing a game, and a sucker comes after me to chew my limbs off, no matter if he's black or white, I'll shoot his head off. Because it's in the end just a game! My personal opinion is that people are reacting way too heavily, but this is just my opinion. I'd like to hear what you people think of this!

I hear this a lot. I live in Shreveport Louisiana where the population is 67% black. And they still play the race card. It's really annoying. I have nothing against black people as a white american. i have issues with idiocy, which is a standard here (thank you no child left behind). The game is being changed BTW. It's just another way for people to ignore their own short comings.
We're all equal, dangnabbit, it's what we do that decides what kind of person we are, not the skincolour or anything else. If these people are going to chew my limbs off, I find that -not o-so-very nice-, so I'd shoot, no doubt. o_o
And, well, if they call this racism, wouldn't it be just as much racism if the virus did not affect blacks, too...? XD Some people these days makes so much fuzz out of nothing...
I'm sure there are ppl on youtube who are shouting out "yeah kill some niggers, i'm definitely getting this game!"
Which may sway ppl making them think it is racist. But i guess its ok to kill the man... even if they are zombies, hell maybe some ppl killed the white zombies and said "hell yeah stupid honkey!"
But ppl are taking this out of context.
Maybe if they put a latino or black character killing the black zombies then its alright i suppose.
