Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel.  Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind).  So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me?  Pantser?  I think?  But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid.  And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly.  And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Thank you everyone who commissioned me, and to those who commented on my poll and suggested tablets for me. Though it's now set! I got my wonderful new tablet today, a Wacom bamboo fun! :heart:

Also, I feel that I kinda want a fresh start art wise (not sure what I mean but...) So I want to clean out my gallery. Most og my artwork will go to scraps, but a lot will be deleted. Just so you know. I also wanna make a new CSS for my journal, this one is getting kinda old now.

Oh btw, if anyone have any tips for digital art,
color or lineart, I would love to hear/see it. :heart:

YEY for the new tablet hun, you earned it ! It'll be interesting to see what you'll come up with digitally and stuff, I mean, I've never been a fan of anything outside traditional work BUT you're style of drawing is so nice, so I'll support you still regardless !!!

Maybe one day I'll try a tablet... but until then... must get scanner XD

And did I read deity refs -wriggles- It'll be so good to see them again ! I love your original characters so much, maybe I should do my refs again... mebbe...

I'm glad you got your new tablet, but please don't delete too many pictures! I'm fine when artists update their gallery and put things into scraps and whatnot, but it's so sad/annoying when you remember an old piece someone created that you'd like to see again, or something that you've fav'ed a while back, and you can't because it was removed.

But...That's just my personal opinion. You do what you need to and I wont nag you for it. Just givin' my two cents...

I'm done cleaning out my gallery now. I deleted some pictures, but most are now in scraps. :)
And yes, I know that feeling. I've experienced that with some of my fav artists too, it sucks when they delete all they got. xD
