The caterpillar Queen nourish her treasured darlings
Helping them grow with her care and full devotion
She patiently waits for them to reach their absolute beauty
But her mind is heavy with sorrow, for her own heart and soul
Because she knows she can never have such a transformation

From caterpillar to butterfly

Somehow, when I'm working with original pictures like this one, I can never stay with one color. I had planned to have her all green, but then I started adding some pink, yellow... and well, the rest is history. It's so much fun though, I love it. <3 This time I was inspired, not by Dream of Doll, but the Luts Dolls. They also have such pretty dolls, argh. *3*

I think caterpillars are cute! They're so chubby and colorful, and they transform to even more beautiful butterflies. But the caterpillar Queen can't, her fate is to forever care for her youth. Poor little Queen...

Done with markers, watercolors, acrylics, and colorpencils. :heart:

I hoped you were going to do her face green! It looks absolutely lovely! And her right (our left) eye has some beautiful bluey green tones in there too.
You managed to make the caterpillars look really pretty! (I like the stripey one on her shoulder!)
