Oh wow. I loved drawing this. I loved playing with the fantastic contrasts between black and white (unoriginal as it is)! I had so damn much fun. There was a point where I thought I screwed this up, and I was to give up, luckily I kept going, because I am very satisfied with the result.
Anyway. No, it's not Ardra.
The white lady is Una, my Goddess of Sorrow. She's one of my oldest deity characters actually, but I've never given her much attention, I donno why. And yessss... that is Arawn (God of Death). Like lawlomg. I enjoyed adding the doves and the ravens to the picture, it makes it more interesting in my opinion!
If ever there is a word to describe it I wouldn't find it... I just fell in love with this amazingniss with every little detail you put on it. It's like your love for this picture shines through it and gives it a heart and soul. I'm waiting for them to come alieve
This reminds me of a love story between them, almost like Hades and Persephone (who I do believe that she left her mother because she was in love, not because he supposedly 'kidnapped' her). But its beautiful. I've seent his drawing many times but my reaction is still the same, still caught in breathless wonder.
